Our Journey, Our Mission - October 6, 2019

Last Sunday, we had our Annual Meeting for St. Katharine Drexel Parish and this Sunday, October 6, after the 10 am Mass we will have our meeting for Holy Cross Parish.

The purpose of these Annual Meetings is to gather together as a community to understand what we are doing, why we are setting the priorities and making the decisions we are currently making and to understand where we hope to go together.

It was with great joy that over 150 people came to the Annual Meeting at St. Katharine Drexel and we are hoping that the same will hold true for Holy Cross. The fact that so many of our parishioners gather to understand, to address any concern to clear up any confusion, is essential to our journey together and our ability to live out our mission to the best of our ability.

What, I believe, was discovered at the Annual Meeting last weekend was clarification and understanding. People left with a sense of hope knowing that we are simply doing the best in our power to be and become Amazing Parishes that, by our witness, we are doing all we can to build the Kingdom of God.

By having so many of our parish members clearly understand our goals, visions and priorities, it enables us to accomplish so much more together. The simple ability to clarify and address concerns is what makes understanding possible.

This weekend, we again have a goal of 150 parish members attending our Annual Meeting at Holy Cross. The meeting will begin at approximately 11 am and take place in the Church. Let us come together so that we are better able to make this great journey and live as completely and powerfully as possible our mission to build the Kingdom of God.

Peace and Joy,

Fr. Don
