Legacy Giving

Did you know there are creative ways to support Holy Cross and St. Katharine Drexel Parishes in addition to your generous weekly donations? Giving through your estate or retirement plan is a wonderful way to support the Church with a significant gift you might not be able to make with your income alone. Your gift becomes a legacy of support that builds out long-term financial strength. You can help transform lives by bringing faith, hope, and love to God's people for generations to come. Financial advisors call these creative techniques "planned gifts." With thoughtful planning, you create win-win solutions for you and the parish.
For example:
Bequest: By giving to the church upon your death in your will, you can make a gift that costs you nothing during your lifetime and can make a world of difference for the Church.
Gifts of Stocks and Bonds: A gift of your securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy way for you to make a gift. By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets.
Gifts of Real Estate: A gift of your real property (such as your home, vacation property, vacant land, farmland, or commercial property) can make a great gift. If you own appreciated real property, you can avoid paying capital gains by making a gift to us. Gifts of Retirement Assets: A gift of your retirement assets. such as a gift from an IRA Charitable Rollover, 401k, 403b, pension, or another tax-deferred program, is an excellent way to make a gift. By making a gift of your retirement assets, you will help further our work.
Gift of Cash: A gift of cash is a simple and easy way to make a gift. You will receive a charitable tax donation that will provide you with a charitable tax deduction and savings on this year's tax return.
Gift of Insurance: A gift of your life insurance policy is an excellent way to make a gift to us. If your life insurance policy is no longer needed or will no longer benefit your survivors, consider making a gift and help further our mission.
