Hello Kaukauna Catholic Parishes family. I am excited to meet you and begin a major life change June 1 as your Pastoral Associate. My name is Deacon Mark LeGreve. I live in Manitowoc and am married to my wife of 27 years, Pam. We have two adult daughters, Natalie, 23, and Meredith, 25, who both live in the Fox Valley area. Meredith and her husband, Tyler, recently gave us our first grandchild, Maggie. I have been employed for the past 30 years by the same employer in Sheboygan as a manufacturing and product development engineer. Just as I finished my MBA at Lakeland College in Plymouth, I was placed on temporary layoff. I was ordained 6 years ago and originally assigned as a Deacon at St. Peter the Fisherman in Two Rivers, where I grew up. Two years ago my wife and I moved to Manitowoc and transferred assignments to St Francis of Assisi Parish. I was heavily involved in forming the first men’s homeless shelter in Manitowoc, The Haven of Manitowoc County, Inc., and currently serve on the board for Prevent Suicide Manitowoc. If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. Our plan was to make this career move some unknown time in the future, but Mathew 6:21 says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be” which summarizes the rest of the story. There is not enough space here for the whole story, in short as Frederick Buechner said, “Your vocation in life is where your greatest joy meets the world's greatest need.” I cannot wait to share my joy with the needs of Kaukauna Catholic Parishes.
~ Peace and Blessings, Dcn. Mark
