Pilgrimages and retreats are wonderful ways to grow in your Catholic faith. Watch the Bulletin, Facebook and this website for upcoming opportunities hosted by Kaukauna Catholic Parishes and others. Priests and/or deacons typically serve as spiritual leaders in all of our pilgrimages and retreats. Contact Deacon Bruce Corey with questions about past or upcoming pilgrimages and retreats (920-766-1445 or dcn[email protected]) We will also post teen and young-adult retreats on this site when available.
Some of our past international pilgrimages have been to Italy, The Holy Land and Ireland. We look forward to making plans for our next pilgrimage soon. Start saving your dollars!
Several years back, we traveled to Conway, Michigan, to spend time at the Augustine Center Retreat House, visit the National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods in Indian River, MI, and take part in the annual Labor Day 5-mile walk over the Mackinac Bridge. We hope to make this journey again in the future. We had daily Mass, great food and visited wonderful sites. Lasting friendships were made.
One of our popular local pilgrimages is our annual walk/bike to The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, Wisconsin. The weekend of September 11-13, 2020, is tentatively set for our 10th annual 50-mile journey. We stay at very nice locations each evening, have great meals, and a support team and porta-potty come with us the entire way. We have prayer services, rosaries, chaplets and daily Masses, including a closing liturgy at the Shrine on Sunday afternoon. All of this for just $20 per person each day. This annual pilgrimage has created many long-lasting friendships. Watch for details to come soon!
For the past eight years, Kaukauna Catholic Parishes have been hosting men's and women's weekend retreats, and lives have been changed. We are delighted to offer our new Welcome Retreat (formerly Christ Renews His Parish), at the Elizabeth Ministry Retreat Center on 8th St. in Kaukauna. Expect to be filled with the Holy Spirit after this two-day experience!
