Colorado Leadership 2018 – God abundantly blessed us!
CLR 2018 was AMAZING! God blessed us beyond all imagination. He drew each person on the retreat closer to Him. Everything went extremely well. The journey began months ago when we held our meetings and did our training. We got to know each other and started building our community. The bus ride was a great experience of fun, prayer, and growing closer to others in Christ. The new camp, Highlands Presbyterian Camp & Retreat Center, was a good fit us. The location was close to our previous camp, which meant access to trailheads for hikes, rafting, etc., was good. The accommodations were good and so was the food. The hikes went very well including the peak climbs. We had groups hike on the following:
Twin Sisters – 11,427’, Hallett – 12,713’, and Long’s – 14,259’.
Everyone reached the peak! Rafting was a lot of fun. All worked together to make it safely through the rapids, and some people even got a little wet! Solo Day was remarkable! Everyone opened their hearts, and the Holy Spirit was with us. Jesus touched each person on a deep level. The time alone on the mountain was a great time for deep reflection and listening to what God was speaking to them. It was their spiritual peak climb!
Thank you all for praying for us. We could feel it all the way in Colorado! God answered your prayers. He blessed us with an awesome team and great retreatants who all wanted to grow closer to Him. They were all on fire for Jesus and grew as His disciples. They brought that fire home to their families, friends, schools, parishes and communities. Keep praying for all of us to stay close to Jesus, grow in holiness, and bring others to Him.
Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. (Isaiah 2:3)
